We had a pretty eventful week, ARMY. There have been at least 100,000 new followers on Weverse and I dare say that will only go up from here in the years to follow. People from all over the world are finding BTS and wanting to be a part of the community! That means there are some changes Weverse managers have made like the translate option where fans can translate their comments into another language so the artist can more easily understand the love (or random questions) they are trying to send during lives and listening parties. The only down side I see is that non-Korean speakers can't tell what comments have already been made...but if it gives ARMY a better chance to be heard by their bias, then it is a positive change.
Enough gabbing now, on to the essentials:
9/27: Jungkook starts a live on Weverse where he shows how to cook a yummy pasta dish and a delicious soft egg on toast dessert. We also hear him calling Bam at one point. At the end he asked the audience if he should go running together later that day before he ended the stream. The next day there was a picture of someone who looked a lot like JK from the back floating around online. Remember to be respectful if you see these handsome and hardworking men in public!
The toast is frustratingly good! |
9/28: CokeCola-Korea shares a video showing behind the scenes of the commercial V was in. He filmed with many smiles and one wonders how many bottles of coke he drank that day. https://youtu.be/r76Ut6QPMa4?si=XZv342CkAF3U4Hnz
9/28: V also shared pictures of himself with a beard. Maybe the theme for the next album is "facial hair"? (Update: he took the image down after a few negative comments. Can we all admit they are grown men and should grow facial hair if they want to??)

9/28: Pictures were shared of V's new apartment. It looks very nice (and for what they say he paid for it, it better be nice!)
9/28: Weverse announced legal action is being taken against several stalkers who have trespassed and caused severe anxiety to the members. They also launched a translate option so fans can translate their comments during lives and listening parties. (The dedication this group has for their fans even after the hurtful things others have done is very brave of them!)
9/28: Directly after Jin made some comments on fan's posts about RunSeokjin saying he will think about touring again. (Foreshadowing **cough cough**)

9/29: Jimin is spotted on his way to the Dior show. (Very handsome.)
9/30: V goes live for 9 minutes and a thousand mouth noises. He laughs and says he has been working like a cow.

9/30: The Min Yoongi Treatment Center holds an opening ceremony where Min Yoongi (Suga) gives a speech where he concludes with, "I hope the space will be the starting point of a great step forward, a small hope that demonstrates the power of music."

10/1: Namjoon leaves 24 comments on weverse fan posts after his workout. He mentions wanting to do a whiskey tour in Scotland, that diet and running are the best ways to loose weight, and how ARMY's existence is his best motivation.
10/1: JHope goes live during a drive home to wish us a happy October and say he is healthy. He reminds us that Jimin's birthday (13th) and his anniversary for being released from the military (17th) are coming up this month. He ends with a promise to do another live again soon. Jin comments immediately.

10/1: Jungkook posts a TikTok dance video to one of Cortis's songs. ("Who filmed it?" is my question. But well done, Golden Maknae!)
10/1: Jimin goes live after Dior show. He says some words of wisdom for us, "Becoming a good adult and living a good life - it's not simple. Sometimes I feel like I'm just pretending to be an adult. But I'll keep doing my best to live well and show you the best version of myself." It is honest and relatable. He then confesses that his phone is at 2%. (Why these men haven't figured out portable phone chargers yet is a mystery to me...but) we are grateful he used the last of his battery to talk with us.

10/2: Seokjin announced a #RUN_SEOKJIN encore performance in SK and made a couple comments on Weverse about how he is looking forward to it. (Yes, I did look up how much plane tickets to Incheon costs.)
10/2: Weverse announced that in a year's time (October 2026) there will be a display curated by RM at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. (That plane ticket might be more affordable...we'll see.)

10/3: V goes live with just audio and speaks Japanese. (As someone who doesn't know Japanese, I can say the translated subtitles seemed very confused.) Just when some of us were starting to learn Korean, too... He then goes live a second time later in the day (2AM in Korea) to show a weigh-in and his delicious early morning meal. He and the other members have been working hard to be in shape for the upcoming album release!
*Sigh* What a nice week when there are updates from all seven members!
Looking forward, there may be sightings of a few more members for fashion week and, if we're lucky, some other shenanigans.
Stay strong, ARMY! Borahae!
