Hello ARMY!
This week BTS announced that they will not submit a song to the Grammys this year (2027 awards ceremony) after the Grammys announced a new "Asian pop" category, which many ARMY say is insulting to many artists including BTS. They also began their second leg of the USA part of the Global ARIRANG tour after having about a week without scheduled shows.

-All seven members post on Instagram stories an announcement that they will not submit a song to the Grammys this year and that, "we hope music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language".
Most of the members use a blank background for this announcement except V (master class badge for League of Legends), RM (an image from the 2.0 music video in his wig), and SUGA (something beige?). Grammys's response is less than ideal (a half-hearted apology letter and removing BTS's performance videos from their YouTube channel). ARMY's response that I saw supported them for this decision, even charting Aliens on iTunes in 80 different countries over the next two days (even #1 on iTunes).
-Colgate announces a new brand ambassador and teases JHope.
-BTS's World Cup outfit pieces (one from each member) sell for a combined $300,300 total benefiting Global Citizen's children education fundraiser. Jimin's Jersey sells for the same amount as the World Cup final game-used ball.
