Hello, Army!
We can begin planning our vacations now because this week BTS announced some of their tour dates! (Don't worry, there will be more announced for 2027). Overall, the members are going to be very busy next year flying nearly all over the world to preform for ARMY. We wish them health as they work hard! They also had a pre-sale for their new album and ticket pre-sale will be next week (22nd-23rd). *Cue Hunger Games whistle*
Don't forget to pre-save the new album on Spotify and Apple Music! The title of their new album is "Arirang" which is the name of a song that has significance in Korean history. (I recommend doing your own research on this song because it's pretty cool.) There are many different versions of this song and BTS even preformed a cover of it in 2016. Trendy, right? There is also a BTS version on SoundCloud from 9 years ago. (Can someone send me the translations of this version? bangtanbulletin.4u@gmail.com Thanks!)
You can still check 2026bts.com for information about the album. (There was a big update today but I'll cover it in next week's blog.)
Enough reminiscing, on to our weekly summary!
Without further ado: January 11-17
Sunday, January 11th:
-V shares images from his QC photoshoot on Instagram stories. He is looking very seductive in these cover images. The red hair throwback? Yes, please.

-More images of V from GQ shared. Him in the outfits are very artsy and this one is my favorite.

Wednesday, January 14th:
-TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT locations dropped! Mind you, the album name had not been released to this point. This is set to be a huge tour! My biggest, honest complaint is that their first performances in Goyang will not be live streamed but hopefully other shows will be eventually!
-Clips from GQ and Marie Claire of V and Jin respectively are shared on Instagram evoking a curious and reflective emotion.

Thursday, January 15th:
-Images of Jimin for Vogue are released. His expression is very serious but his blush is really cute.
-Images of V for GQ are released. His expression is also very serious but it draws you in anyway.
(As I write this, I realize this is the second day where these two are the only members we heard from. Adorable.)

Friday, January 16th:
-Jimin shares the Vogue images to his Instagram story and V shares the GQ images to his Instagram story.
-JHope and RM share a link to pre-save the album on Spotify and Apple Music on Instagram stories.
-RM shares images through an Instagram post featuring a cute baby (assumed not his), the holding of horses, his stack of books still unsorted, and a clip of his saxophone cover of "City of Stars".
-All 7 members go live and discuss how close ARMY got (not at all) to guessing the name of the album, how they each wrote songs (totaling over 100) then chose 14 from those songs to be a part of Arirang, and how very excited they are to share it with us.
-RM follows the live by posting a poem about his considerations on what it means to love someone and being honest that he may not really know. It's a sweet post that has deep thoughts behind it.

Saturday, January 17th:
-Tuna cans with Jin's image and 96 total collectable stickers are released for sale.
-A short interview with V is released by GQ Korea on Youtube where he briefly discusses love and music. Again, adorable. Watch here.

One thing I would like to note is that we have already broke a record with the new album: fastest to #1 globally pre-saved album on Spotify (2 days, whereas Taylor Swift's album had previously held that record at 6 days). The most pre-saved album on Spotify was around 6M by the same artist, so we are trying to get Arirang to 7M, but currently at just under 2 Million. Link to pre-share Arirang here. Share, share, share!
That's all for this week! Best wishes for the upcoming ticketing war.
Borahae!
