Hello ARMY!
It's been almost a year of BangtanBulletin. What an amazing journey it has been!
From Arirang's release to zany antics and much MUCH more, it has been a pleasure to write this blog for you.
As you can see, I have decided to move the blog to a different website host. This way the content can be available at all times without cost to anyone. Please forgive the wonky formatting of posts that were copied from the old website. Any future posts will look better.
Seeing the way BTS has returned post-military service in so much detail truly shows how amazing they and their team are. Truly they are guys who are trying to be themselves in a world that likes to put things into boxes, and, who intentionally spread a message of encouragement through the struggles of life. I know that is difficult to do in small ways in my own life so I can only imagine the strength it takes to do at such a public and global level. Much respect to all seven BTS members!
To be honest, I started this blog for myself as an escape from something I was grieving. It gave me something to do each day that had no impact on someone's livelihood and that did not remind me of my sadness. The worst, darkest, and loneliest part of the week was Sunday evenings, so that's when I decided to spend time on this project. I'm so glad I did.
What have I gained from writing this blog? I have gained a confidence for trying scary things, a determination for being kinder in the way I speak to others, a mentality of diving into the passions that bring me joy, and a very full phone storage. Hopefully you have been able to take away something positive from it too!
Now it has been a year. Things have changed from the beginning that make me believe it is time to put this blog on hold for a short time. I will still be a fan of BTS (probably forever as I have a dream to see them as seven adorable, wrinkly, and gray-haired men). But, I want to live life again. I want my phone's photo gallery to be more full of memories I'm making with friends and family than of seven Koreans from halfway around the globe. I want to spend Sunday evenings doing something that will make the future version of myself even better. I want to live life to the fullest!
Thank you, BTS, for helping save me. I'll take it from here now.
Goodbye for now, ARMY. Maybe I'll see you at a concert sometime?
If so, I hope we can greet each other one again with, "Hello, ARMY".
